School Bookmobile & Programs

Bookmobile

The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, along with our sponsors, Warsaw Engineering & Fabricating, Lakeside Chevrolet and D Signs, have built a fire truck bookmobile which is available to all elementary schools in the Warsaw Community Schools system. The bookmobile promotes safety to children, in our community, in a fun and educating manner by providing reading materials on fire safety and related topics. During the time the bookmobile is at a school, the children can choose a book to read during their library time. For further information, please contact the office at Station #2, (574) 372-9502 or use our online Request Tracker tool.

Firefighter for a Day Program

The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory works with local elementary schools to offer a Firefighter for the Day program. Children write essays to compete for the opportunity to be a firefighter for a day. The top two winners at each school are chosen and spend the day with fire crews.
