Facilities

There's plenty to enjoy within walking distance of Center Lake Beach! With the completion of the lakefront trail, an ADA accessible boardwalk now connects from the Nye Youth Cabin all the way to the boat launch north of Bixler Park.

Beach Hours of Operation

May 1 - September 30: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM
October 1 - April 30: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Lifeguards

Lifeguards are present daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend as staffing allows. Staffing levels change throughout the season and guards may be present at just one lake or only on the weekends. If the temperature is below 70 degrees, lifeguards will not be on duty. When lifeguards are not present, Center Lake Beach is swim at your own risk. Dial 911 in the event of an emergency.

Recreational activities available:

Kayak & paddleboard rentals, swim beach, Kiddie Land playground, beach volleyball*, cornhole boards*, tennis & pickleball courts
(*Volleyball and bean bags may be rented for $5.00 an hour from the rental kiosk)

Public restrooms:

Located outside on the west side of the Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion during park hours

Castaldi Fountain:

This interactive fountain turns into a splash zone with the push of a button from May-September

Picnic table rentals:

Throwing a birthday party? Having a family reunion or a church outing? For $5.00 each plus tax, picnic tables can be reserved in the shady area near the beach. Tables must be rented and paid for at least 48 hours in advance through the Parks Office.

Grills:

The nearest location to the beach for grills is in Bixler Park, on the east end of the lakefront trail

Attention: The Parks Department is not responsible for the loss, theft, or disposal of any items left unattended at Center Lake Beach or the adjacent parks. Trash service runs no less than twice a day through the beach and park area during the summer season, and items deemed as unattended may be removed. The Parks Department does not maintain a lost & found and will not hold items.
