1. How do I register for a program or event?

Option 1: Register online by clicking the link next to the program you wish to register for.  Option 2:  Visit the Parks & Recreation Office at 800 North Park Avenue.

2. How can I find out if a concert or event is rained out?

For large community events, please tune into Lake City Rock 107.3 WRSW or Willie 103.5 FM for event notices after hours. We will also make an effort to keep our Facebook page updated. During business hours, you may call the Park Office at (574) 372-9554.

3. Can I volunteer at an event?

Absolutely! We value every willing hand and heart that helps with our programs and events. Volunteers are what make our programs successful and possible for the community. 4. How do I reserve or rent a Parks Department facility?

Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department facilities may be reserved one year in advance on the first working day of the month your event is scheduled for. Reservations may be made online or through the Parks & Recreation Office at 800 North Park Avenue. Some facilities require deposits, so please call the Park Office at (574) 372-9554 for more information.

5. Can I fish in the park after hours?

You may fish in the park after hours if you obtain an After Hours Fishing Pass at the Parks & Recreation Office during regular business hours. These passes are free, but you must have on with you at all times after hours to be permitted in the park. The Park Office is open Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

6. What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, or credit cards. Checks must be made out to "City Of Warsaw Parks Department". We cannot accept checks for more than the payment amount due. Credit card payments will incur an additional small processing fee.

7. How can my company or organization become a program or event sponsor?

Sponsors are the core of successful programming. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the Recreation Director, Shiela Wieringa, or call (574) 372-9554. Sponsorship packages are available that offer different benefits to your organization.

8. Can my group perform for one of your concerts or events?

To be considered for a performance date, you must submit a press kit (hard copy or electronic) to the Recreation Director by email or by mail at 800 North Park Avenue, Warsaw, IN 46580. Press kits must include music demos, references (no bars or clubs), and past venues performed at. Please no phone calls. We will contact you if more information is needed or to pursue further opportunities.

9. Are dogs allowed in the parks?

Dogs are not permitted in any of Warsaw's parks. At this time, there are no plans for a dog park within the city. Service dogs are permitted and welcome, but they must be clearly identified and you should have proper paperwork with you.

10. How do I apply for snow removal assistance?

The City of Warsaw provides snow removal assistance to those deemed unable to do so themselves by a medical professional.  Only the snow accumulated at the end of a driveway by the snow plows will be removed by the City.  Citizens are responsible for snow removal in the rest of the driveway and on their property.  An application for assistance can be found here (PDF).
