  1. Fly Fishing Workshop

    August 18, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Lucerne Park

    Beginner: 9:00am-12pm at Lucerne Park. Learn basic fly fishing techniques, casting, how to choose fly rods and fly lines, safety and etiquette, and more! Participants will also join instructor Charlie Ray for basic fly tying, where you'll learn about basic knots and bugs. Minimum age is 11 and all equipment will be supplied. Maximum of 5 participants and registration required, $15/person. Intermediate/Advanced: Improve your fly casting accuracy and learn how to increase your distance with a variety of drills as well as specially-made targets designed to make you a better fly fisher. Minimum age is 11, and all equipment will be supplied. Prerequisite: Must be able to comfortably cast a distance of at least 35 feet and have activley fly fished for at least 1 year. Maximum of 2 participants. Registration required, $15/person.

    August 31, 2018, 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Mantis Skate Park

    Mantis Skate Park is a fully-supervised, family-friendly skate facility for all ages, elementary students through adults. The park offers a Rhino ramp system thanks to support from the K21 Health Foundation. Skateboards, scooters, and inline skates are welcome. Helmets are required at all times.
