Neighborhood Beautification

This project will create a buffer that protects homes from some of the impacts of existing industries.

Neighborhood Buffer

The early industries of Warsaw helped build strong neighborhoods. Having jobs close to homes is not a new idea! As environmental concerns grown, communities are trying to find ways to protect resident’s quality of life while keeping major employers. This project will target the areas between homes and manufacturers for screening and beautification. Improvements could include landscaping, trees, fencing, lighting, and greening alleys. In addition to buffering, this project could complete sidewalk links to allow for easier connections between neighbors.

GoalImprove quality of life in the neighborhood by screening incompatible uses and making sidewalk connections

  • Create a buffer between houses and industries
  • Add sidewalk connections through the neighborhood
  • Beautify the side streets
