Gatke Maker Space

Summary - The Gatke Property redevelopment is a Stellar Communities Project that will meet a long standing goal of repurposing a blighted area of the East Market Street neighborhood. Being on the McKinley Street connector of the Ride/Walk path enhances connectivity into to the Town of Winona Lake.

Gatke Maker Space

The Maker Space will be a collaborative, sustainable model, scaled to fit our community. It will share space with both educational and industry partners.

Development of the Maker Space will lean towards a STEM and arts focused venue for the community. The space will support the transformation of innovation and creativity into tangible form. The maker opportunities offered will be driven by various specific community focus groups. Examples of equipment and programs that may be available for use by the public could include robotics, 3d printing, CAD workstations, wood and metal fabrication, multi-media arts workstations laser etching, and sewing equipment.

We are excited to present this project to the community. The opportunities this brings to our citizens is yet another asset that improves quality of life for a broad range of citizens in the Warsaw-Winona Lake community
