The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, along with our sponsors, We-Fab, Lakeside Chevrolet and D Signs, has built a fire truck book mobile which is available to all elementary schools in the Warsaw School system. The purpose of the book mobile is to promote safety to children in our community in a fun and educating manner by providing reading materials on fire safety and related topics. During the time the book mobile is at a school, the children can choose a book to read during their library time. For further information, please contact the office at Station #2, 574-372-9502.

Exit Drills in the Home (EDITH)

Firefighters from the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Department will come to your home at a scheduled time to teach in-depth fire safety tailored to your specific needs. There is no charge for the program. Simply call 372-9502 to schedule a time.

High School Driver's Education

The Department has developed a driver education safety program. Members of the department provide driver safety and emergency response information to area high school students through the schools’ driver education classes. Members relate experiences and actual situations they have encountered by way of a power point presentation and JAWS demonstration. We appreciate the opportunity to work with area schools on this important matter of driving safety.

  • Saturday, September 10, 2016
  • 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Central Park & Center Lake Pavilion
  • Free!

The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory invites families to learn about health and safety through fun activities at the park, including the bike rodeo, fire safety save-a-life trailer, fire department zip line, Kohl's Fit Feastival games, and more!  Donate blood at the American Red Cross Blood Mobile and visit the booths for free blood pressure checks and vision screenings.  See helicopter landings, fire trucks, ambulances, and law enforcement vehicles.  For further information, call 574-372-9502.

Smoke Alarms for Everyone

One of the concerns of all firefighters is the absence of smoke alarms in many homes in our community. The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory wants everyone to have a smoke alarm. This program provides for the needy and elderly who cannot afford to make the purchase or to have them installed.

The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory offers the service “Smoke Alarms for Everyone,” providing one free smoke detector and installation of the smoke detector to all homeowners within the City limits and Wayne Township.

Smoke detectors are required in all rental homes. However, this service excludes rental units. It is the responsibility of the landlord to provide smoke detectors to rental units.

To obtain your free smoke detectors or for more information, please call 574-372-9502.
