Electronics Recycling

A new law took effect January 1, 2011, regarding the disposal of electronic waste.  The new law prohibits Indiana households, schools and businesses from mixing electronic waste with loads of trash and refuse going to landfills. Indiana Code 13-20.5-10

KC Recycling Depot, at 220 S. Union Street, can recycle all electronics--including computers, computer monitors, printers, cell phones, TVs, DVD players, and other electronics--that have been deemed hazardous and have been banned from normal trash disposal by this new law.

KC Recycling Depot
KC Recycling Depot, located at 220 South Union Street (Phone: 574-372-3087), is the only recycling location in Warsaw. In addition, there is a drop-off location in each of the towns in Kosciusko County. This program is operated by the Kosciusko County Waste Management District. Their website is loaded with helpful information and ideas on how to live green. Be sure to check out the Re-Use Room and KC Eco Store.
